Liposuction

Liposuction, or lipoplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure to extract body fat through small incisions. This procedure does not leave scars on the body. It is the perfect method if you need to remove fat that deforms your body structure.

Benefits
Liposuction surgery is for patients who have good health and realistic expectations. Liposuction offers amazing results but not perfection.

Although age is an important factor in determining who is a good candidate for this surgery, general health conditions are even more important. Ideal candidates are those who have tried diets and/or exercise plans and still have unattractive body fat.

Overweight patients can benefit from this surgery. Although the procedure is not a weight loss treatment, it offers good results. Nevertheless, the ideal condition is a person whose weight is close to normal. There are no age limits for liposuction.

Procedure
Liposuction has become the most popular aesthetic surgical procedure. This type of surgery improves the physical appearance of the person and corrects irregular shapes through the elimination of unwanted and excessive fat. It is sometimes called body shaping.

Liposuction can mould areas under the chin, neck, cheekbone, the upper arm, breasts, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves and ankles.

Hospitalization
Depends on the area treated and degree of surgery.

Time
The duration of the procedure will vary according to the parts of the body involved. Surgery ranges from one and a half hours to three hours.
