Is Medical Travel safe?
The concept of traveling to a foreign country to receive medical treatment may appear a bit frightening. SurgicalEscape will only affiliate with JCI Accredited hospital and clinics. JCI (Joint Commission International) is the US governing arm that approves select hospitals and clinics that have similar safety, quality and clinical outcomes comparable to the US and Canada. A SurgicalEscape representative has also visited and inspected all partner JCI Accredited hospitals, clinics and accommodation sites to ensure the high standards are met. SurgicalEscape will make sure your medical travel experience is comfortable and an experience that won’t be forgotten. All medical procedures are performed by highly-qualified surgeons at some of the most advanced medical centers in the world.

What is the quality of the hospitals, clinics and surgeons?
All of the physicians and surgeons at our partner hospitals are highly qualified with most being trained or practiced in the US, Canada, UK or Europe. They all are English speaking and highly respected by their piers as a lot of them sit on International Boards and Committees. Our International Hospitals and clinics must be certified by the Joint Commission International (JCI) with clinical outcomes similar or exceeding North American Hospital.

What type of equipment is used?
All of the SurgicalEscape partner hospitals and clinics are equipped with the latest technology. All of our affiliated hospitals and clinics are JCI Accredited and have been extensively researched. Only the most recent and up to date state of the art equipment is used.

When do I pay for my package?
You will be required to pay the full amount of your package approximately 2 weeks prior to your surgery date. This is important to secure your procedure and your stay in the hospital. If for some reason you decide within the two week period not to go through with your surgery your money will be reimbursed to you.

How much cost savings does SurgicalEscape offer?
At SurgicalEscape we recognize the burden the health care systems in the US, Canada and some European countries have put on them with the soaring costs of healthcare. SurgicalEscape has negotiated some of the most competitive prices for medical procedures in the industry saving their clients anywhere from 35%-85% depending on the procedure. Although our prices are extremely competitive we will not sacrifice the quality of care and service you will experience.

What does the price include?
Through our Network at the chosen country and hospital facility your package will include:

1. Round trip airfares
2. All medical expenses including: surgery, anesthesia, pre & post op treatment, nurses, doctors, etc.
3. Deluxe hospital stay
4. Deluxe accommodations during recuperation

• Three meals a day throughout your trip (selective packages)
• Through our association with US-based Homewatch Caregivers, you will have access, if needed, to high standard nursing care, as well as periodic visits by our international staff. In addition, our preferred hotels include the following:
• Luxurious rooms and suites
• Free transfers to and from airport (meet and greet at the door of your plane), doctor appointments and surgery
• Ample bathrooms with hot water and bathtub
• Hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner

Is there insurance available for the trip and medical procedures?
There is an Insurance Policy available for US customers, including a $55,000 benefit to cover any complications upon returning to the US.

Why are the prices so low?
Medical travel is more affordable for several reasons. One reason is because of the US dollar and the currency in the host country. Another reason is simply because Costa Rica and Barbados offer healthcare without all of the unnecessary costs like doctor fees, administrative fees and malpractice insurance that the U.S. healthcare system implements.

Does SurgicalEscpape offer suitable accommodations?
As you plan your medical trip with SurgicalEscape you will eventually have to ask yourself the question, “where do I stay?” Although each hospital or clinic site offers a wide variety of accommodation options for every taste, style and budget, you should keep in mind (if you are undergoing a medical procedure) that not any hotel will do. Following your procedure you will require at least some basic attention and care. Therefore, it is important that you choose a hotel or recovery retreat that caters to your needs as a post-op patient. SurgicalEscape will assist you in choosing a quality hotel that is safe, affordable, comfortable, and able to offer the post-op care you require. All our recommended hotels have been carefully chosen in order to maintain a superior standard of service throughout your stay.

What happens when I return home?
SurgicalEscape recognizes that your full package should include high standard service and care before, during and after your procedure. Our physicians and surgeons will be in contact with you after your procedure to make sure you are recovering as planned. Your SurgicalEscape team will also provide follow up and assist you in any way possible.

We maintain very high standards with confidentiality. All medical records, files, x-ray, MRIs and personal information will be treaty with the highest confidentiality.
